"ChatGPT, stop being a sycophant" -doesn't work

Want brutally honest AI feedback instead of endless "that's a great idea!" responses? Here's a simple prompting strategy I use:

Frame your idea as belonging to a coworker: "My colleague has this concept and I need help critiquing it to save them

Pro Tip for my fellow conference go'ers:

90 sec test each session

Stand in the back, give the speaker 90 sec to convince you it's worth staying. If not, you can leave without interrupting or being rude

One thing we can all agree on in the AI world:

Don't rely on AI detection tools

They are expensive, unreliable, and easily defeated

They only catch the lazy/unsophisticated AI users

I used a free tool and dropped the GPT Zero report from 52% AI Generated --> 19% AI Generated

Please do

A lot of people bash on @google 's privacy policies

but they are the ONLY platform to default opt out of AI training that I've seen

unlike LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram, Threads which all default opt in to training their AI models

I appreciate that about Google!

I'm actually a terrible video editor.

But I get asked how I make my videos look so polished. The key isn't skill; it's using a system. Mine is so simple that anyone can use it: drop/create all assets in Canva Whiteboard->Drop them into Descript->Record w/ teleprompter->Underlord Agent rough edit

The rate limits on Claude are currently it's most limiting feature (small context windows are a close second)

Are these 5 hr --> weekly rate limits going to be better or worse for you @anthropic subscribers?

When you first learn to vibe code, you think to yourself:

"But what will I build?"

After a few weeks, you will start to think to yourself:

"I have so many ideas for apps/websites, but which ones will I build?"

This one is Manus -> research and outline, Firebase Studios to prototype

There are three ways to code with AI (or vibe code):

chat- type back in forth in a chatbox style interface

cloud- use a web app that does the coding for you

local- a terminal interface that runs on your actual machine

As a non-technical person, cloud is the most accessible and user-frien

Looks like there are also some AI bots sneaking in as well!

Which app is better for white-boarding?

@figma or @canva ?

+ I love how Canva connects to all my other assets and white boards can now be added to any project
- but the iPad app struggles with Apple Pencil and is slow

+Figma is snappy on mobile and has cool built in timers & music

One approach that has saved me a ton of time and effort with AI-assisted coding:

FIRST use the chat feature to articulate what exactly is going to be changed

THEN execute or revise accordingly

Yes, you can make "vibe edits" and roll them back later, but this wastes time and credits

--> Click the Magic Write tool (pencil w/ stars)

After trying out @canva 's new Magic Activities here is what I'm seeing:

--> teachers can get a student activity from a prompt based on grade, subject, and learning purpose

--> Canva creates either a doc or a whiteboard

--> Generic content gets plugged in

--> Cool design elements, detail

My response was that I was sure every other teacher was doing the same thing.

Turns out, she was right. About both things
