Trump promised no new business deals with foreign governments. He lied. His family's real estate deals put the president in direct conflict with the Constitution.

Without Congress's consent, our Constitution says, no federal officeholder can accept “any present, Emolument, Office, or Title, of any kind whatever, from any King, Prince, or foreign State.” These deals seem to put Trump in direct violation of that clause.
