If Democrats flip this district, which had been Democratic from 1996-2022, then it should be the blueprint for how to win in rural America again. I'm tired of always talking about flipping districts where it's a bunch of voters that make over 100k. We can't be the party of the upper class suburbs.

We should run ads directly targeting Vos next year. Not sure why we should shy away from it if he's individually unpopular. It's worked at the national level in the past against Mitch McConnell. Why not bring it to the state level?

If we have political clout, we should go after Marklein and talk about the issues impacting the driftless region.

I think we can hold every democratic seat in 2026 at least. If we flip ME and NC in 2026, WI and NC in 2028, we can get a majority without classic Dems.

We still have to provide a vision for rural America, midterm or not. I'm out in these areas. What some people think is a rural area others might think is a medium sized area. The economic challenges that rural America faces is similar to urban America. A lot of folks there are economically liberal.

I agree and disagree. The difference now is that younger voters are becoming very impatient with the political process. This isn't 2017 anymore. They want norms crushed because they feel the typical messenging is so bland and is just about protecting something rather than changing something.

Democrats know how to campaign back into office based around what the otherside does to the basics of government, but we as a party don't know what to do once we regain power. We've been doing the same thing over and over again since the 60s. No creative ideas for legislative strategy.

For sure. I don't think it's as much about ideology as it is age. I understand how senority helped Democrats many years ago to become a more diverse party in the post 1960s, but we are so many years later now where senority hurts us if older ppl only talk about GDP, unemployment rate, stocks, etc.

There's toss up and lean, but if there was a "tilt Dem" category, I think that would better describe it. Georgia and North Carolina are the true toss ups.

And hopefully we kick Van Orden out next year. Cooke found something Democrats should tap into in the counties bordering Eau Claire County. Saw an interview with More Perfect Union last year about a farmer in Dunn County who said Cooke was gonna be the only Democrat he was gonna vote for.

We have to convince industrial workers of how tariffs don't help them too. Not just consumers. High tariffs kill more jobs than jobs created, in part because Trump isn't putting forth government investment in American startups to compensate. New businesses don't just pop up out of thin air.

Southeast WI has some of the lowest support for public schools, but is socially liberal and Southwest WI has some of the highest support for public schools, but is socially conservative. Trempealeau and Jackson are also more socially liberal than Grant and Lafayette, in terms of county pairs.

I like how we are closing thein closing the gap in counties like Jackson and Tremepealeau when the GOP is concentrating on Grant. It gives us an opportunity to reconnect with voters in even smaller counties so we don't have to go all in on Grant. At least it has felt like that.

Should we be concerned about vote tabulation? The WEC seems to be concerned about cyber attacks similar to some counties in Nevada and Pennsylvania in the Presidential election.
