OH I REREAD NVM if your sister is a legal adult, mandated reporting wouldn't apply at all unless a minor was in danger, but that's not related to the alcohol.

(hypothetically anyway, I never had to report anything thank goodness.)

And even then, assuming it DID fall under that, it wouldn't be the underage drinker on the hook in this case. It'd be on any adult responsible for it.

Again, it may differ place to place, but when I was a mandated reporter, I wouldn't report on that alone unless there was possible danger

underage drinking on college campus may """technically""" fall under that "minor endangerment" umbrella, but that's not something commonly reported under normal circumstances, UNLESS there is a danger, and even then that's less being a mandated reporter as much as using common sense.

it may depend on the state for specifics, but generally being a mandated reporter means if you are aware of a situation where a child (minor, essentially) could be unsafe or abused, you must report it to the appropriate supervisor/authorities (usually authorities are alerted either way.)

I also worry about the addictive properties... a severely mentally ill person who doesn't know better could become "dependent" on it in the same/similar way as other behavorial addictions. It would have fucked ME up when i struggled with that. it's not the same of course but still dangerous :(

I don't have any idea who this guy is obviously maybe in general this is a mean sentiment from me but as someone who has known awful people in my life it feels vicariously cathartic in a way to see someone face consequences/karma for their actions.
