Comment fonctionne le phénomène des tsunamis? | OHdio | Radio-Canada Écoutez l’extrait de l’émission Phare Ouest : Comment fonctionne le phénomène des tsunamis?

🌊 Ever wonder how an earthquake triggers a tsunami?

It starts with a subsea quake (usually 7+M), which shifts the ocean floor and displaces huge amounts of water. ONC's @bennypir.bsky.social discuss more about tsunamis during a chat w/@cbcradiocanada.bsky.social: ici.radio-canada.ca/ohdio/premie...

Canadian scientists trying to keep world’s ocean sensors afloat These robot scientists dive deep into the ocean to measure the vital signs of planet Earth. But proposed funding cuts in the U.S. could mean critical climate data is on the chopping block.

ONC’s #Argo floats collect ocean data as deep as 2,000 metres, helping track #ClimateChange in near real time.

The data is available to researchers globally and contribute to the Argo Canada + Argo international programs.
