So please @JohnSwinney, will you ask the energy suppliers why they are ripping us off when we provide most of the Uk’s energy?
And tell us what they say?
Then help us fight to change it.

β€˜Little lungs are paying’: why the Dieselgate scandal is still running hot Carmakers accused of cheating air pollution rules have faced little punishment in UK but trial brought by 1.8m motorists is about to begin

Action on #Dieselgate is taking an β€œoutrageous” amount of time, leaving more than a million dirty diesels still on the road today. This isn't just a corporate scandal, but a #Health scandal as well. It's time the car manufacturers paid. #AirPollution

Leeds project explores car access without ownership Families, friends and neighbours across Leeds are being encouraged to collaborate in a unique three-week experiment exploring new ways to access cars without owning them. The β€œCar When We Need It” in...

We love this idea - people in #Leeds are to trial a "Car When We Need It" initiative, sharing access to both private and hire cars.

"The study seeks to create practical, low-carbon alternatives to car ownership - such as car clubs, responsive bus services, and shared micromobility options."

Typical of the stove industry's selfish attitude. Power outages are the worst time to burn wood as neighbours are unable to use their air purifiers. It costs us £££ to buy & run all the air purifiers, dehumidifiers, tumble dryers, etc we need when neighbours burn wood. Clean air poverty exists too!

How much influence did Robert Jenrick have on the aggressive stove industry lobbying that has devastated the health & lives of many people in SCAs after many decades of smoke free living? His father’s company has made huge profits from assaulting neighbours with toxic fumes from β€œEcodesign” stoves.

That Β£180m is taxpayers money.

Fact-Check: Personal Choice vs Community Impact

Myth 1: If you don’t like the smoke, just move.
Fact: Moving isn’t realistic. Homes are expensive, bound by rent, people need to stay near jobs, schools, friends and family. Even if you did move, a new neighbour could install a stove. Wood smoke spreads across whole neighbourhoods, so there’s no escape.

Bottom line:
Wood smoke is not a private choice. It spreads beyond chimneys, harms neighbours, and drives up public health costs. Telling people to β€œjust move” ignores reality. Everyone deserves clean air where they live.

This government doesn't actually care about people.
They say they are for working people, but it's only certain working people, and for people that are unable to work thru no fault of their own, then the government doesn't even acknowledge they exist!

Today was the first day of the season that I encountered wood smoke while out walking.

I didn't see it, but I could smell it, and when I looked over at a nearby chimney I saw the "heat shimmering" and knew immediately that it was the source.

Sigh... here we go again 😷

Is the minimum time limit on sectors or mini sectors? I can see that if it's over sectors, it would still be possible to driver faster into the pitlane, if you had been really slow at the start of the sector.

Does feel like the regulations need to be changed slightly.

Frailty in ageing populations worsened by air pollution, global review finds Coauthor of research says condition linked to heightened vulnerability and loss of independence – but is reversible
