The hope I cling to is that we are getting to witness Trump's U.S in real time and as that goes further and further down the toilet, people will look at Farage parroting all the Trump lines and think, "nope don't want that".

I fear I'm being naive but at the moment there's little else to cling to.

Thomas Skinner voted off Strictly Come Dancing as fans slam 'abysmal' routine Milo Pope Published October 5, 2025 8:05pm Updated October 5, 2025 9:18pm

Shocking that a man whose only apparent skill is hysterically shouting β€œBOSH!” after every other sentence is found to fall short of the rhythm, grace, and subtlety required for Strictly. Who could have possibly foreseen this?

What they need is an old school One Nation Tory, untainted from the previous 14 years who can lead the party back into the light.

It seems they don't exist so the Tories will just march on to extinction.

Shabana Mahmood back in 2014: "surely the current death toll in Gaza is the clearest sign of a disproportionate & indiscriminate response"

How can you say Israel killing 2,300 Palestinians in 2014 was disproportionate & indiscriminate, but what its been doing for the past 2 years isn't?

We can all agree that the attack on the Synagogue in Manchester was terrorism

So why is setting a Mosque alight just 'arson' and a 'hate crime' and also not terrorism?

The Greens are assuming a lot of ex Labour won't go Lib Dem. The Left will go Green but a lot of traditional Labour moderates will head to the Libs before the Greens.

Reform only have one pool to select from: Tory defectors. A large number of their councillors are just crackpots and unelectable

The conspiracy of silence around the B word is pathetically laughable.

Anyone with even the slightest interest knows it has been an utter disaster yet everyone is too scared to say so or to call out those liars who campaigned for it.

05.10.2025 11:54 β€” πŸ‘ 3    πŸ” 1    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Exactly but people are royally pissed off.

Labour seem to think it is all about immigration but if the people I speak to are representative then it absolutely isn't. They're more concerned with feeding their families and paying the bills, that's where they want(ed) Labour to focus.

Badenoch's combination of sheer political incompetence and unfiltered arrogance triggers me everytime.

She is so, so bad. If she's the best of the Tories then they're truly doomed.

This is a lot of what I hear. "The other two parties have failed. He can't do any worse" etc etc

This World has made me very cynical so my first thought was, 'why haven't Labour released it?' surely they'd be keen to kick the Tories, unless....

05.10.2025 10:55 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

And why hasn't Labour released it?

05.10.2025 10:44 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I think he's getting a little bit ahead of himself there! The Greens are starting to get some real momentum going but calling themselves the main opposition to Reform is definitely jumping the gun.

05.10.2025 10:42 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

The defending is so fundamentally bad. If it is a deliberate 'system' approach then it needs revisiting coz it just doesn't work.

All this backing off until the edge of the box just invites the opposition to get players in there so once the ball is knocked wide then whipped in, there's panic.

05.10.2025 10:35 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Strengthening anti protest laws is very "un British".

"You can protest where we say, when we say and how we say but you have freedom of speech coz we are a democracy" πŸ€”

I don't see Starmer as racist but he's definitely gone a long way to proving the rest.

I didn't vote for him because he has no political vision other than what he's told to do but even so he has still been a huge disappointment.

Has a huge majority and seems determined to squander it.

05.10.2025 10:15 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

It is deliberate. The media billionaires have decided he is the one they want and they'll promote him as much as possible no matter how ridiculous his policies are.

Assuming we don't all die in a nuclear firestorm of course.

I think it is also a case of Badenoch chasing the Musk Bucks.

Elon and his band of billionaires are going to throw a lot of money at either Reform or the Tories and it will be a sprint to the far right to try and secure the funding.

04.10.2025 23:47 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

They're effectively irrelevant but they're needed to keep the absolute dyed in the wool Tory voters away from Reform (however many of those voters there are still alive)

04.10.2025 23:39 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

We've got the worst of all scenarios.

Tories who are doomed anyway have gone full MAGA trying to be even more extreme than Farage whilst Farage himself is such a terrible Trump tribute act that if it wasn't our country that's in danger he'd be laughed at as a crackpot bigot stood on the sidelines
