Now that most of the contract work is done in Edmonton. Aside from decisions on Ekholm and Kulak. I would like to see the Oilers establishing a goaltending division of the front office to go with their scouting and analytics improvements.

I really didn't like the defensive structure the Oilers exhibited in pre season. Could be a rough start to the season in the GA department and fans likely will be quick to blame the goalies.

However i really liked the offensive structure and bit more work on the breakouts and they will be golden.

Flames should probably put in a claim for Dipietro. While I think he could be an upgrade on Pickard I am not sure the move is good enough to upset the room for a maybe better in Edmonton especially since we have Ingram now.

McDavid and Draisaitl had a very casual pre season hope they can ramp up for the season opener. Still don't like them on one line.

Stauffer and Freidman both didn't have time for Reichel to the Oilers and given how camp has gone I can see that being the case. Not really room for another unknown. i would still move Janmark for him but maybe that is space needed for a potential goalie move.

Woodley not sure a waiver goalie would be an upgrade on the way the team plays for Pickard. Ingram would have been better than anyone likely to go down and he cleared.

Woodley has Oilers in 5th of goalie tandems in the Pacific division. Didn't like the spin from Skinner but did like that he wasn't lunging on the breakaway and also waiting for plays to make the Blueline before getting set.

If I am the Oilers I don't see why you don't look into Ingram. If he would prefer to go to a quieter market fine but he could potentially be an upgrade on Pickard and maybe even push Skinner. Cap wise it shouldn't be too hard to work out either. Only cost is potentially losing Pickard to waivers.

Why not just make it free at that point. Having people lie about smoking is dumb.
