24.01.2026 21:44 β π 17 π 4 π¬ 1 π 0We have been told for years that regular mass shootings are a price we have to pay for the 2A to protect us from tyrannical govt. Today those exact same people who have told us this are applauding the *mere possession* of a permitted handgun being used to justify an execution by federal agents.

24.01.2026 21:13 β π 53 π 5 π¬ 2 π 0Pretti clearly did not brandish his gun. Which means the government is saying he was killed for legally exercising his right to carry.
Itβs as clear-cut a violation of the Second Amendment as I can possibly imagine. And weβre about to see the bulk of the gun rights crowd defend his murder.
I wish Democrats would start just speaking the truth:
βICE is killing American citizens in public for exercising their freedom of speech because Donald Trump wants to be a king.
This isnβt about immigrationβTrump wants to make it illegal to oppose him, and to stay in power until he dies.β
Little bit of Spring? Yes certainly :)

Damn history ... i don't look kindly upon it... we aint gotta wait
That's a line drawn for sure. I like that: "to stop pretending, to name reality". That is indeed just what is needed.

Tell it not to. Also tell it that you need to anticipate criticism or pushback and to analyze what you are writing with that in view. Have to say I have been on a job recently and it was the only encouraging voice I had, and I was glad of it. But I agree it gets a bit much!

One man, standing behind a counter and dressed like a shopkeeper, is handing a stylized dead Twitter logo (a blue bird with X-shaped eyes) to another man, whose face has been replaced with that of Elon Musk. A speech bubble from the shopkeeper says, "It was alive when you bought it."

I saw Blazing Saddles when it first came out in the UK. The one and only time I've literally seen a cinema full of people - not one or two, everyone - literally fall out of their seats laughing.

2) A very readable novel - Robert Tressell's Ragged-Trousered Philanthropists.
