Last week I joined Accelerator for America, former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, and mayors from across the country to spotlight the infrastructure challenges cities face—and the programs, policies, and partnerships helping communities meet the moment.

Soon, we will create a memorial honoring the 67 lives lost on January 29, 2025, in the northeastern portion of Rivergate Park along the Potomac River. This peaceful setting—where the water moves steadily forward—will offer a place for reflection, remembrance, and healing.
