My first (but not last) visit to the delightful @victoriascheese in Ely. Great to see my books 'in the wild' and even managed to sell one to a customer! This beautiful cheesemonger is recommended in my books and if you are ever anywhere near, you really must pay a visit.

Very sad to visit a 'leading London retailer' today and find them woefully short of British cheeses. None of the following - Lancashire, Cheshire, Wensleydale, Red Leicester, Caerphilly, Dbl Gloucester and not even a proper Cheddar (only waxed truckles). Should be ashamed of themselves.

As Cheese Lover and an International Cheese Judge, I have to taste many different things. Well this sounds strange, is kinda weird but strangely addictive.

Weekend visit to one of the capital's leading cheesemongers @lafromagerie in Marylebone. This temple of artisan tastes and flavours is clearly a key entry in my next book 'London Cheese Guide' along with their fabulous shops in Bloomsbury and Highbury.

There are some lovely places for cheese lovers in London @localcheesecave in Wimbledon - going to visit one evening soon.

Further research for my next book 'London Cheese Guide' took me to Camden Passage in Islington where I found probably the best value cheese toasties in London (or anywhere) - hand made by Steve @pistachioandpickle. Fabulous cheese counter as well and seating outside or upstairs. What a find!

Can't wait to try this wine made by Dermot Sugrue at Sugrue South Downs. A very generous gift from Dan at Godfrey C Williams & Son - thank you mate. Anyone want to suggest a pairing idea?
