Every time the Afrikaaner claims "government is a business" all the big Ds need to be onscreen reminding people that's the definition of fascism, "the corporatization of the state". Every time he says "entitlements", the big Ds need to counter with "no, actually, it's social insurance" etc etc

For example: every time the Afrikaaner does an interview complaining about "the bureaucracy" in government, there need to be as many prominent D leaders as possible stating he doesn't understand it's not bureaucracy, but "checks and balances".

I want my representatives to win. I want them to make - and enforce - laws in line with my (and intern'l comm's) values. As long as we suffer under the blunt tool of a 2 party system, a big part of the opposition party's job is messaging since we're stuck with them as the only viable alternative.

I really must be missing something to your stance. I agree people need to be as politically active as they can, the fact that we don't live in a direct, but a representative democracy means we are required to outsource our agency. I can't write a law. I don't decide how DNC money is spent etc.

Please elaborate because it sounds like you're saying the representatives elected to represent are not to blame for their failures. Rather, the fault is with the people - supposedly -represented (?)

Dems are the opposition party. They are our representatives. By definition they should and need to be leading. That does not preclude our (or other) action. But yes, they absolutely should be leading. They are the professional politicians.
