Deploying the Marines to Los Angeles is the worst idea in the history of this entire shit show of bad ideas. Marines do two things, kill people and break things. I say this with deep respect. That's their job and they're damn good at it! The last place you want to deploy them are in our own cities.

The last time I checked, Gavin Newsom had his OWN National Guard units he has full authority to deploy in times of civil unrest. It would absolutely be appropriate for him to deploy units to interdict between Federal Gestapo and lawfully assembled citizens and residents.
