A mug sits on a cork coaster. Inside is iced coffee the mug is not circular but an imperfect pentagon. The outside has been carved to look and feel like the bark of a maple tree. The glaze is a dark brown with a matte, creamy white brushed on top to create highlights in the crevices.

These are always a labor of love. I love the end result, but in the moment, trying to catch the clay at the perfect stiffness and then carving for 30+ minutes, always has me wondering why I’m doin it again😪😂

A speckled white pottery piece the shape of a honey pot like Winnie-the-Pooh had sits in front of a wood background. The side of the piece has been cut out and carved to create a tree with a large trunk that thins into branches. The tree is glazed in a shining copper brown. The tree has been framed in a circle and the empty space is fully carved out to allow you to see inside the piece.
Tree luminary🕯️ about 6 inches tall with the tree glazed in ancient copper. Never got a nice light box photo before selling it off🤷♂️

Over the summer, I was able to make a new addition to my tree series: plates! It was my first time making dinner plates. I’d had the image in my head for a long time, but finally attempted. They turned out PERFECTLY🤩
