Looked up lyrics to Nirvana's You Know You're Right for my novel, & got nostalgic to hear it. Looked it up on YouTube. First search result was Courtney Love's/Hole, covering the song, but changing the lyrics to You've Got No Right live. 1.8k likes, 4.6k dislikes. Hope in humanity restored a little.

So, the last half of Chapter 5, all of Chapter 6, and the only half of Chapter 7 of my book Pointe Blanc: Valkyrie that I'd written over the last three days vanished from my OneDrive overnight!!! Thank all the fucks I was able to restore a previous autosaved version! Now we're onto Chapter 8 baby!!!

It's rare for any author to not be their harshest critic at the best of times, but not only do I think my editor will love this new version, but I am chuffed to fucking bits with it too!!! Feels amazing. Back at it in the a.m. Night, fam!

2/2 But something was seriously missing. Backstory? No. Context? Nope. I just couldn't pin it down, and I was getting really depressed about it. That version would never get past my editor. 1/2 So I'd been strggling with my next book, Pointe Blanc: Valkyrie, for months before my laptop died. The sitch didn't improve when the new computer arrived weeks and weeks later. I just wasn't feeling in the groove. I know the plot, the hooks, the characters, the world, backwards and forwards...

If the meal is advertised to include a toy, and it doesn't come with one, that's the only issue (false advertising). Age has nothing to do with it. There's nothing wrong with enjoying toys as an adult. It's absurd to feel shame or throw shade for innocent joy.

Is it wrong to start writing new chapter when you haven't finished writing the previous chapter? I mean, it all gets done in the end, right? Asking for a friend who looks a lot like me.
