It is the White House — it is executive. If that’s what he chooses to do, I do think most people will agree the White House is totally inadequate for entertaining state guests,” Curtis said. The senator suggested that much of the backlash stems not from the project itself, but from political divisions surrounding Trump personally. “A lot of it’s quite frankly tied up with some of the feelings about President Trump himself,” Curtis noted.
