Utah passed emergency funding for English learners this year. No schools qualified While some schools reported large percentage increases in the number of beginner English learners this year, none met the 30-student threshold established by HB42.

Earlier this year, Utah lawmakers wanted to help schools whose English learner populations had grown fast.

No school qualified under the law's criteria.

ICE arrests a man at his Salt Lake City green card interview The man’s attorney expects him to wind up back where he started, in an interview room trying to get his green card, but with him and his family “having suffered needlessly” in the meantime.

ICE told KUER the youth soccer coach was arrested for overstaying his visa.

But that’s a common situation for people at their green card interviews. Plus, overstaying a tourist visa is not a disqualifying factor for a green card through marriage.

That's where I got the definition for threat levels. But I can't find anything on Crim vs Non-Crim.

The footnotes break criminality into 3 categories (Convicted Criminal, Pending Criminal Charges, Other Immigration Violators), but I don't see anything on where each falls in Crim/Non-Crim.

My local jail is the last line here. It would make sense if Male Crim included people with pending charges, because No ICE Threat Level is only people with no convictions. But that's not defined anywhere, right?
