This is welcome news and something we should be driving for more of in Croydon.
Welcome news, though unfortunately I fear the propaganda tool that Elon Musk has created isn’t going anywhere. The Xodus just narrows the audience that he is peddling his distorted views too.

It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas in Coulsdon, Croydon.

But the way she acts you’d think she was the most popular, talented, experienced politician to grace the House of Commons.

Great tonight and wonderful heartfelt speeches.
Well done to all involved.
It just never ends, rather than be honest with the public and put forward a credible plan to tackle the issue. Our local MP wants to twist and manipulate figures after his party failed to deliver on their commitments.

The TLDR of Croydon Council’s budget tonight:
😡 Council tax up - by the maximum amount allowed again. Pay more, get less
✂️4 libraries closed, the youth service & carers support are next on the chopping block with £16m of FURTHER cuts to come

Happy International Women’s Day!
We marked the occasion last weekend with a women’s self defence class led by the incredible SiFu Della O’Sullivan and heard from @ndironsmp.bsky.social on how the Labour government is making a real difference to women’s lives 💪
Children thrive when they have the freedom to explore what truly interests them. Forcing them to go deeper into subjects they have no passion for stifles curiosity rather than fostering it. We need an education system that nurtures, not pressures. #EducationReform

A major win for working families: £2bn to build 18,000 new social and affordable homes is a strong step toward tackling the housing crisis. We need secure, genuinely affordable homes, this is real progress.

I’ve known Rowenna for years and have always admired her energy, passion, and deep commitment to Croydon and its communities.
Her fresh ideas and people-first approach have the power to transform our borough for the better.
The Labour government is delivering for working families starting today, 750 schools across England are launching free breakfast clubs, including three right here in Croydon
This is a huge win for local families:

I'm walking home from choir rehearsals and I see "binmaggedon" may not be so bad in the Croydon town centre as bad as other parts, but it's still rubbish, not worth the council tax we pay. Along with other council services, parks libraries etc...we need a fresh start next year.

Residents in Croydon have waited months to learn what the Mayor is actually proposing to do in his review of the youth engagement team. Scrutiny is on Tuesday & the paperwork still hasn't been shared with the councillors on that committee.
What's he trying to hide?
