The tragic loss of Elianne Andam deeply affected all of us in Croydon. My heartfelt sympathies go out to her family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. We came together as a community, united in our grief and determination to prevent such tragedies happening again. The verdict delivered reflects the seriousness of this crime. While the sentence may be grounding, it will never heal the pain and loss felt by Elianne's family and friends. Preventing violence against women and girls is essential.  We must enhance both health and social care provisions to support at-risk individuals and those affected by violence. As we remember Elianne, we must continue to enhancing our youth provisions, ensuring young people have access to safe spaces and resources. Our community's strength lies in the ability to support each other, a community founded on kindness, respect, and mutual support. Every young life is valued, and no family should endure such pain. May you RIP Elianne Andam Eunice 💕🙏🏾
