Everyone should call the Gulf of Mexico Chalchiuhtlicueyecatl, or "House of Chalchiuhtlicue,” its proper Aztec name.

Chalchiuhtlicue was a water Goddess of the seas, whose name translates as "She of the Jade Skirt.”

So “The House of the Jade Skirt” would be appropriate. And sounds pretty awesome.
