If you want to be mad at anybody, be mad at the employers who pay them the crap wages to live in the most expensive place. It's a wonder they're not all on the street.

I know who these people are because I work in this industry. I am an Eligibility Worker determining who's eligible to receive those benefits.

I can tell you right now the majority are seniors and single mothers with children.

That's a 45 minute drive right now, 6:00 a.m. on a weekday. Give it an hour or two and traffic will make that much longer.

If you want to get emergency Services in Santa Clara County, imagine having half of the number of hospitals?!

Santa Clara is the sixth largest county in California and a major employment center in the Bay Area.

Currently we have a 1 billion whole in the Santa Clara County budget. I know this because I work for the county. The measure to keep our hospitals open will bring in 300 million for that purpose only.

Four County funded hospitals in Santa Clara County serving 2 million people.

In Santa Clara County which encompasses much of Silicon Valley south, we also have a measure on the ballot to collect a tiny fraction more of sales tax in order to keep our hospitals open. The Big Ugly Betrayal would have us close TWO full hospitals.

Compton, CA: A masked, heavily-armed man wearing body armor jumped out of a SUV today to kidnap a local resident.

He forgot to put the vehicle in park, causing it to roll down the street damaging other cars. He jumped in the vehicle (which had no platess) and drove off without identifying himself.
