We are a house cleaning company. I am not a professional photographer.

We are an hourly service and this cuts into their cleaning time meaning the client gets less value and the cleaners have to rush, doing worse work.

Recently I got my performance review which was nearly perfect, with literally the _only_ criticism being I needed to take more professional pictures.

Management's response was, we have 40 employees, just find someone else. They underestimate how many people don't want their picture taken at work. Getting a good pic takes _time_. I have to prep the area, pose the cleaner, get the right angle to make sure the face AND logo show, no matter how weird

Additionally, many workers and some clients don't want a random dude taking pics inside their house? Many of the employees are women and many of them don't want their pics used online. I feel really grimy as a big dude being compelled to take pictures of women who don't want it? So I haven't been.

There are a few problems with this. Their criteria for the pictures are picky. The owner says he wants professional pictures (but obviously doesn't want to pay for a professional...) and I am required to have multiple approved photos per week.

My boss suggested to her boss, the owner, a solution for their new marketing initiative. We only had old, professional photos to represent the company. Why not make the supervisors take pictures of current, active employees cleaning in people's homes!

I'm going to have a little mini-rant because this situation is fucked up and I think it's funny. I am the supervisor for a house cleaning company. My performance review and raise were negatively impacted by my ability to be a photographer.

I am going to be so sad if Graves doesn't have a playstyle I enjoy because she is an *icon*.
