Idk if this is remotely coherent but yeah. I want to reiterate I like Zandalari trolls but I wish that their treatment of other trolls was ever treated with seriousness and grace, half the time the narrative almost seems to be trying to justify it.

Alas many of WoW's writers are incompetent + racist.

It kinda doesn't help that Zandalari are clearly the favourite among the writers, too, seeing as they took Darkspear lore and there's almost no minor Darkspear NPCs in DF, they're all Zandalari!

It has a "the good ones" vibe at times which, ick

we see a little bit of it with some of the speakers, in particular that "nothing more than a curiosity" line but I wish it was explored more.

I love the Zandalari but I think other trolls absolutely have the right to resent them in some fashion.

yeah I wish there was more about how the other trolls feel about the Zandalari, considering that at least for *some* of the Zandalari, their idea of uniting the trolls was forced assimilation, never mind the fact that many of them were as gung-ho about calling other trolls savages as anyone else

I don't actually mind the banning of pet pythons here. it may seem excessive but so many people just *aren't* responsible

that said, euthanising pre-existing pets is just shitty and cruel, I agree.

also, why they can't be taken to zoos: they could have diseases that they could pass to snakes already residing in the zoo. also, nearly every zoo in the country is already at maximum snake capacity.

in conclusion: snakes are not toys and I hate ppl that get large exotic snakes just to look badass

also if ur curious about why electrocution: it is the most humane method; a strong electric current to the brain kills them instantly, they do not suffer. also poison could harm the surrounding environment and thus native reptiles.

there isn't really any joy in killing the pythons in isolation. but alas careless pet owners who release their snakes into the wild when they got too big (they are PYTHONS) have caused this to be necessary

the unfortunate thing about being a conservation advocate in the tropics is that if you say "omg they found where the pythons gather to mate and now we can electrocute them to death in bulk yay" people look at you like you're evil or insane. but like... it has to be done for the sake of native herps

btw if you paid real money for art, that doesn't exempt you from crediting the artist, no matter where and how many times you post it.
