Potters, what do you do with your “thirds” - the pots you can’t even sell as seconds? I hate breaking them up so I try to repurpose…. Unless they’re they’re truly hideous. This one has a massively cracked handle and is twice as heavy as any gravy boat should be 🤣 #pottery

I just have a baby kiln (L&L Plug and Fire) but as long as you do your research for safety stuff — reddit and youtube are good places for info on using kilns — the computerized kiln is basically like running a microwave. It was quite easy to figure everything out.

The vase in the middle was made by Andrew McCullough of Nu Ceramics. I bought it many years ago, when I didn’t really have the money to spend on pretty things with no use, but I could not resist the turquoise! Fast forward and I’m now making my own turquoise vases at his new pottery studio.

Neriage is challenging because there are ALWAYS air bubbles which make the throwing challenging, but the results 😍
