Some of this could also be exploring their relationship with being human. But this strikes me as subtle and intentional. Maybe I’m overthinking but it has me unsure how I should refer to Blue. I’m curious as to if you have any input on it!

- The interaction where Becker calls Blue an “it”, Blue gets upset, Mary suggests “she,” and Blue replies with “whatever”
- Father referring to Blue with they/them after Blue’s demise

- the multiple times when Blue thinks about liking the masculine appearance/voice of the synthetics she pilots
- The detail that the voice created for her Xenomorph Queen form (probably by Blue and Father?) sounds genderless

I hope it’s okay to ask about, I’m curious as to whether or not I’m squinting too hard at Blue’s relationship with gender. There were several moments throughout the text that stuck out to me:
