It seems to me like it's the parasocial connection of the audience to the author which is acting as an extension of the author's brand.

"We felt this character just worked better as a woman" its that simple. Idk. I do think you should have *a reason* for your artistic choices, and feel is a totally valid one.

Its always interesting to me that people don't seem to understand that apoliticism is also a political statement.

There is always a "why" that goes unsaid when a creator goes out of their way to say there's no political statement here. Why else would you say "my creation is about nothing actually"

Far Flung was an amazing story, and even though my poly relationship didn't work out I still found it deeply relatable and charming. I can't wait to follow those characters' continuing journey.

Thing is... if his audience is mostly kids, right, how are those kids getting the money for those patreon tiers?
