Got the Halloween decorations out finally.

Embracing the fact I live in Minnesota now - homemade creamy chicken and wild rice soup for dinner!

We have too many eggs so I made a spinach, goat cheese, smoked salmon, and red pepper frittata.

Putting our money where our mouth is. Our annual subscription was about to renew soon.

If you don't know me, you don't know how much this one stings. I'm a massive Star Wars fan - even a former Lucas employee. I'm also a Disney adult, and a lifelong Marvel fan.

But some things are more important.

There we go - upgraded the lighting in the Game Cave (i.e. basement). The overheads were much too harsh for retro video gaming or playing TTRPGs down there comfortably

We had to make the difficult decision last weekend to let Tonks, our 18 year old void kitty, go. I'm absolutely heartbroken. Today, we got back her ashes and I'm blown away by how beautiful the box is that they put her in, and her tiny little pawprint. It brings me some comfort to have her home.

Picked up a flagpole and a state flag today. Also got the appropriate mourning streamer since we can't fly it half mast (which is encouraged right now). #minnesota
