Is this a dog whistle or just a coinkidink? DuckDuckGo quotes Wikipedia as saying that the 201st Security Division was a German unit in WWII responsible for atrocities in the USSR. (I didn't find any reports on Detachment 201 from any of my regular news sources).

I ran across a story on FB about the commissioning of 4 tech CEOs as Lt Colonels last summer to make up "Detachment 201". News to me, and I'm a news junkie. So I did a search to see if I could find a regular contemporary news article about it, but I messed up and searched on "Division 201" instead.

Hadn't thought about that, but I suppose they might. Or they might lean on the Agency's summary and response to comments published in the final rule. This convo may not be the best use of our time. I still haven't commented to CMS yet.

Skimmed it, I confess (you're right about headings!) My questions were provoked by Dr. A.B's question there. I have since done a search on your extremely useful and extensive advice for commenters and didn't find AI or Artificial anywhere in it. I have shared your piece elsewhere.

I've been skipping the box "what is your comment about" on the grounds that if it's not required, don't supply the information.

I've been assuming that they'd use AI to summarize comments. Any thoughts on how to write effective comments under that assumption? thanks

APnews is reporting the fact of the indictments. Wouldn't you rather know that than not? FauxNews reported the "permanent maiming" of the agent days ago and didn't give the level of detail that APnews does here. Gloved hand and he didn't realize it until later?
14.02.2026 15:00 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0
the fact is, there were indictments. APnews reported, factually, what the investigator says happened, and they make it very clear that they are repeating what he said. They also report what a defense lawyer said. The government still has to prove its case.

Is there a proposed rule on this? I'm not finding one on regulations dot gov or the federal register, or the EPA link in the article or in the EPA's press releases.

Apologizing for changing the subject. I'm seeing reports that a $0.09 per barrel tax on imported and domestic oil has lapsed and that this tax supports the Oil Spill Liability Trust Fund administered by the USCG. Can you verify and should we contact our members of Congress? thanks. Happy Solstice
