Standard Schema A common interface for TypeScript validation libraries

BIG DAY 😇

Introducing Standard Schema! It’s a specification for a standard interface to be implemented by TypeScript schema libraries. The goal is to make it easier for frameworks and tools to accept user-defined schemas, without writing separate adapters for different libraries.

Untitled When haters deny HTML’s status as a programming language, they’re showing they don’t understand what a language really is. Language is not instructing an interlocutor what to do in a way that leaves no room for other interpretations; it is better and richer than that. Tim Carmody, HTML Is Actually a Programming Language. Fight Me If you need a bit more proof that HTML can do dynamic, interactive, logic-oriented tasks, see the article I've been working on and published today: Relatively New Things You Should Know about HTML Heading Into 2025.

Anxiety’s really stupid

It’s like, “hey there’s this thing where if you worry too much it’ll damage your immune system and sleep quality and basically ruin your life…

so if you’re feeling sick or can’t sleep

DON’T WORRY! 😅”

‪And you ask “did you throw up?”‬

‪And he playfully responds “you will seeee!” while leading you to his room‬

Pro-tip: if you catch the stomach flu going around the US right now DO NOT take CHERRY FLAVORED NyQuil

If you do, then when you inevitably vomit for the 6th time in 12hrs you won’t be able to tell how much is NyQuil and how much is blood from your esophageal lining

May be obvious but I just picked it up this year and am 200hrs in with lots of content to go: Elden Ring

I love exploring and trying different builds/playstyles…the diversity of content and setups is breathtaking. I’m still on my first playthrough and have tried 5+ weapons/builds

Yup this is the framing that works for me, it’s how you pass params in the type system.

What solidified this for me is looking at all of the inbuilt generic utilities (Partial<>, Omit<>, Pick<>, etc) as essentially the “helper functions” of TS

changing someone's mind is very hard, near impossible

but if you want any shot at doing it, you need to first be able to represent their side better than they can

feels like the world is really missing that right now
