My resume isn't in my bio, but that doesn't make me a rube. Can't we chat like I know math? Don't you wonder whether I know more about radiation than you?

23.02.2026 22:10 β π 6871 π 1217 π¬ 332 π 71The "pro-trans" side on sports has never been "Literally anyone should be allowed to enter a women's elite-level competition simply by declaring that they are a woman five minutes before the start." Never. Ever.
The "nuance" that Newsom's describing is what trans people have been ok with all along.
It's actually more like, you buy X high-end GPUs when you actually need 50% of that count. You radiate them and over time check how much their work is effected. Some portion, while not being radiation-hardened on purpose, may be harder against radiation than anticipated for consumer electronics.
23.02.2026 20:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0There was a really interesting thought from Ingenuity/Perseverance on Mars: if you buy a million computer bits (things damaged by cosmic rays) and do tests to *find* radiation-hardened pieces randomly made, it can be more cost-effective.
(But yes you're right. Undoubtedly there's upkeep, new chips)
When Democrats throw trans people under the bus, I understand their (flawed) logic.
Can ANYONE point me down the twisted path that is Jeffries' mind? Is he just the best politician ever for doing this on Fox News, to get some R voters?? Does the math really check out for him?
Why? Straight up, why?
Is there really Democrat voters who are like "we need ICE to terrorize the right people [which is to say immigrants but not citizens somehow]"?
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills!
I love alt text because photos are inherently more info than what they're meant to be. Much easier to fix my confusion on what to look at when there's a textual pointer!

The final line in this is hilarious.

It was darker than his other stunts, but it felt topical, the kind of challenge he wanted to try. At the very least, he thought, he might get a few calls he could talk about at his next show. Instead, his website has received nearly 100 submissions from across the country: people reporting their neighbors, ex-lovers, Uber drivers, strangers they saw at the grocery store. One tip came from a teacher reporting the parents of a kindergarten student at her school. βI mean, they seem like nice people or whatever,β the woman told Palmer on the call. βBut if theyβre taking up resources from our county, Iβm not into illegal people being here.β

Yes Grok the AI isn't a person and it doesn't have agency, but as a counterpoint, many entities made only from protocols and computers (and sometimes people) are treated as a "person" in writing.
I don't like AI anthropomorphization any more than anyone else but there's a grammar issue hidden here.
In the latest in a string of privacy abuses from the chatbot, Grok provided porn performer Siri Dahl's full legal name and birthdate to the public, information she'd protected until now.
