i've had good luck shipping zines and 5x7 in. postcards with stamps, so i'm going to try my hand at sending handmade stuff this month.

i Do like NSFN a lot because they explicitly said they'll fight tooth and nail to protect nsfw sites and their lgbtq members, and they've been like. through several legal issues already in the past because of this asjsj. hawkhost is "bigger" while still flying under the radar about having nsfw, so--

i haven't tried hawkhost yet since i'm happy with NSFN for my "Handcoded/No Advanced Shop Management" needs [and i and i pay a non-binding $3 bucks a month with them], but hawkhost is the least expensive and best fully featured host that allows nsfw that i've seen!

-- but they do have nice quality of life features like a website builder + lots of storage/domains. i think they have more data centers, plus Definitely more wordpress/ecommerce plugins customer service support if you run into issues.

the site is good about walking you through basic questions in its FAQ. and it's free to try out!

hawkhost has an upfront cost of at Least 5 or 10 bucks a month for their primary/professional shared plans (you can get as low as $2.99 by paying several years)--

NFSN is Very diy, but if you're making a handcoded website like a neocities one, the major difference is that you have to get a dedicated SFTP software (like WinSCP on PC, totalcommander with addons on android, and koder on iPad/iOS) to access/edit your website's files.

so, even if i do wish there were specific tools that exist on other platforms... the answer Might just be to suck it up, see the value in it that i'm not allowing myself to see, and just like. spent less time on here oTL

and i'm personally unlearning my kneejerk reaction to quoted posts from Fandom Days where they very often lead to reoccuring, circular arguments. [like. outside of fandoms, getting pissed about things Can lead to something meaningful.] but damn!!

on here, feeds are bugged so you either have to use a no-reshare feed that lets quote posts get through by accident (?), along with a "for you" page that has a bunch of recommended posts that people you follow haven't gone out of their way to share.

so, separating original posts and shared/quoted posts Might mean i would miss some of those, but at least i've found that it's easier for me to sort through news by catching up on original posts, Then shares/quotes. which you Can't do here, unlike other sites.
