Speed is an enormously underrated part of improvement, and I bet it's because it's harder to show in side by side pictures. It's one reason I like the various artober challenges, it's a fun excuse to push and see what I can actually get done in a day or sitting.

Keir's job is basically like a safety inspector except for magically created or augmented creatures. Fire extinguishers don't try and eat fire inspectors, he's not always so lucky. Xochi, the mini Quetzacoatl is a coworker.

A new double-sided chip-carved-star ornament, or 'rosette.' This one is based on eight equal divisions of a circle. The spiral elements of the second side were based on a design from mychipcarving.com. I previously used this on the cross I carved also. #ChipCarving #WoodCarving

My reward to myself for drawing 30 pictures and taking 1 photograph is I got to go back to some of the pictures I really liked doing this month and spend a little bit more time on them.

This a very minor side point but I'm glad you didn't modernize the old website, it's always a delight stumbling across vintage internet

OC-tober day 25, style swap with a friend's OC. In this case, @shivikai.bsky.social 's lovely (and surprisingly tall!!) Firebrand.

This was done relatively quickly (busy this evening) and I'm really glad a previous artober prompt got me to properly draw the koi tattoo so I could copy it over.

Done mostly in Procreate and a little bit of finalizing in CSP. Not thrilled with the horns I think I screwed them up somehow and can't make them look right even after some messing around, but I like the vintage look of the colouring

because once they are gone they are in EVERY moment. there is no reason that THE END, this tiny sliver of existence that is barely visible within the whole pie, should be worth more than all the love and joy on the way. when we are gone we are every moment, and when we are here we are every moment

I had a heck of a time deciding what colour to make the fireflies for the Inktober firefly prompt, but wound up with red because that is the most ominous. They actually started out yellow but I wasn't feeling it.
