What is unfolding in Gaza is a genocide.
And the United Kingdom must do all it can to make Netanyahu stop.

We want two states, Israel and Palestine, living in peace. We are not pro one side or anti the other. Both have just claims and both have done wrongs. For more details see ldfpme.org.uk

A social media post from Donald J. Trump on Truth Social, dated July 31, 2025, at 5:29 AM, reads: "Wow! Canada has just announced that it is backing statehood for Palestine. That will make it very hard for us to make a Trade Deal with them. Ohβ Canada!!!"
By trying to bully nations out of recognising Palestine, Trump is making himself the biggest hurdle to a two-state solution and a lasting peace.
The UK must stand strong with Canada and our allies, we should recognise the Palestinian state right now. No more delays.

A follow-up section of Ed Daveyβs 25 July letter to Keir Starmer. He urges Starmer to push Trump on a joint UK-US UN resolution for a Gaza ceasefire, reopening humanitarian corridors, and recognising Palestine. Davey says the UK must leadβeven if it means challenging Trumpβand calls on Starmer to show that leadership during Trumpβs UK visit.
Iβve written to the Prime Minister urging him to use Trumpβs visit to the UK to push for an end to the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.

The time for words is over - now we must act.
That should include the UK Government conducting a fresh set of aid airdrops over Gaza.
Mass starvation in Gaza and over 1,000 Palestinians killed while seeking aid since May. The government says the situation is intolerable yet they continue to tolerate it.
The UK needs to stop all arms exports to the Israeli Government - today.
Rula Daood, our national co-director, is a Palestinian who lives under the same system that dehumanizes and kills her people, and still, she stood tall in Tel Aviv and said what all of us need to be brave enough to say.
Listen to her:
David Lammy must realise that weβre past the point of threatening sanctions.
Every day the Government sits on its hands, more innocent civilians are being killed in Gaza while over a million are at risk of starvation.
Sanctions are needed now, including against Netanyahu.
Time and time again, the Prime Minister says the situation in Gaza is intolerable⦠but he keeps on tolerating it.
Palestinian statehood was literally in his own manifesto, so why wonβt he recognise it now? I wonder if Donald Trump is stopping him.
The world is looking on in horror as Netanyahu's Government plots to lock Gaza's entire population into effectively a giant prison.
The Prime Minister should make it clear that the UK won't stand idly by, starting by sanctioning Netanyahu himself.

We welcome this move from the UK Foreign Secretary, David Lammy. The settlers & linked organisations imperil Israel and are a block on achieving a peaceful resolution to the conflict with Palestinians.

Let's hope thst UK, France & Canada actually follow through on their talk and take real action against the Netanyahu Government & the violent settlers in the Occupied West Bank.
