CF clinic appointment went decently today.
I love the doctor I saw. He was the one that met me in the ER when my first CF doc ignored my pleuritic chest pain & told me I was having anxiety or heartburn when I knew something was wrong. He really saw me at my worst, right before switching to this team

This is the scariest time of my life, of so many people's lives. And those who think this is all supposedly a good thing don't seem to have humanity to appeal to. I'm just preaching to the choir at this point

I'd had to face my mortality very early on. But when I started the life saving meds I'm on for my Cystic Fibrosis, I was given hope that I'd be able to live a longer, healthy-ish life.

Now that's possibly being ripped away from me by people who see me as a financial burden rather than a human.

If cuts to Medicaid go through and my state cuts me off as well, I'm going to have to ration my medications.

And if I have to ration my medications, I do not know how long I'll be able to manage. If I get sick with anything and get an infection, I may end up dying.

Something you can do to stand against RFK jr’s attempt to make us all sicker is wear a mask when you share air with others. Resist mask bans. People who cannot afford to get sick have a right to exist in public. Masking will protect your health from him too.

Now would be a very good time to start wearing a mask again if you stopped 😷

I know there's been years of disinfo downplaying the flu in order to dismiss COVID as a threat, but both things cause serious illness and are best avoided. This flu wave is no joke. It's a good idea to get this season's flu vaccine (it's not too late), and wear a well-fitting mask like an N95.

What can I say? The phone is too full of distractions, what with all the sweet little gay people that are in here.

Everything else will go to the account I pay rent with.

It's really not as much as I was expecting and it's a huge bummer. I really wanted to get a laptop so I could write more. Physically writing is hard on my hand, and having a specific Thing that I can designate writing to would've really helped

The Treat I've decided to go with for what refund I am getting is a haircut. And perhaps... Some blue semipermanent dye.
