Hope is a Strategy

Some challenges are not a game for one player; when we hope for something big, the journey can be challenging. Finding your squad, your cheerleaders, your tribe, can be vital. Lots of people may not be interested or care about what you are striving for but there will be people who get it, get you, and want you to succeed. It might be in person or it might be online, but I’d encourage you to find your tribe of people who can encourage you in the pursuit of what you’re hoping for..."

I often share passages I've highlighted in books, but never before from my own book! I'm findings things that I already know but I need reminding of. Today it is about the importance of the amazing people I have around me who cheer me on and encourage me. I'm very very grateful for them.

We agree with Napoleon that "A leader is a dealer in hope". Well, they should be even though many get it wrong.

I’d find it difficult to disagree with anything you two have said on this! Isn’t it a 1988 study that said we need primary (get the org / culture / systems right) + secondary (training etc where needed) + tertiary (help people when they struggle) interventions? Being performative never helps!
