A press release detailing the successes of the GSE Collegiate Combine. It includes references to Stockton University awarding scholarships to all members of the production team, and St. Francis College awarding $18,000 scholarships to student commentators.
Overall, colleges reported over 250 substantiative recruiting conversations with students with 181 offers, the average one being $12,000.

I'm still having trouble processing how amazing the GSE Collegiate Combine was. Esports has come so far since I started dabbling in shoutcasting when I was just a few years older than some of my students.
A scholarship for esports commentary was laughable then, now it's $18,000.

I feel really bad for the one guy trying to buy a Teamfight Tactics holiday sweater right now. Poor site is crashing because of @riftbound.riotgames.com and they don't even know it :c

For the past year or so I've been working with Garden State Esports to build a High School level curriculum for esports commentators.
I'm not quite ready to show it off yet, but I do need your help!
Wherever you are on your #esports #commentary journey, what do you want to learn more about?

Well hello there! π
Still finding my footing here on Bluesky, and trying to find as many folks from other social media as I can.
In the meantime, if folks could help me find the #Esports, #TFT, and #GameDesign corners of Bluesky, I'd appreciate it!
