Oh my, I haven't thought about this book in YEARS.

Mine too, of the ones I've read. I think it helps that it was the first one I read.

On a tangential note, it took me many readings of and listenings to ACC, and many watchings of Scrooged, before I realised that the makers of Scrooged gave Ignorance and Want to the wrong ghost.

I've often observed how Dickens is stuck in the debtors' prison, as it keeps coming up in novel after novel, but listening to A Christmas Carol I'm also struck how many pawnbrokers there are, too.
