I want to use maker tech (3d printing, Arduino, VR/AR) to make cool things that help people and then give it all away.

08.03.2025 21:26 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Tethys, a moon of Saturn, appears to hover near the A and F rings in this stunning view. The moon, composed mostly of ice, peeks through the Keeler gap, cleared by the tiny moon Daphnis. Captured by the Cassini spacecraft in July 2014, this image highlights the intricate dance of Saturnโs rings and moons. (NASA/JPL-Caltech/Space Science Institute)
The Huygens probe successfully landed on Saturn's largest moon Titan at about 11:30 UTC on January 14, 2005. The descent lasted two hours and 27 minutes. The probe survived another 72 minutes on the surface of Titan. This was the first - and, so far, the only - landing in the outer solar system. Huygens holds the record as the most distant landing from Earth. (Image credit: ESA - C. Carreau)
Huygens returned this image from the surface of Titan. This colored view was processed to add reflection spectra data, and gives a better indication of the actual color of the surface. (ESA/NASA/JPL/University of Arizona))

20 years ago, @esa.int's Huygens probe landed on Titan, revealing some of the mysteries of Saturn's largest moon. ๐ช NASA's #DragonflyMission is set to explore Titanโs surface, continuing the legacy of exploration and discovery. ๐ฐ๏ธ dragonfly.jhuapl.edu

I am wrapping up the semester running the engineering makerspace by putting the printers to work on critical projects like custom bobbleheads.
14.11.2024 01:48 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0You can download and try it out for free. I'll integrate any feedback into the app as I have time!
13.11.2024 15:19 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0That's on my roadmap! First I want interactive scaling then better object positioning. Hoping multiple objects by Xmas.
13.11.2024 14:51 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0A question for all of those working in the VR/AR space (Meta Quest in particular but open to all ideas!). I think that natural, intuitive AR interaction with hand-tracking will reduce barriers to VR entry caused by complex controllers. What are your best practices for intuitive, hand-based UI? #AR
13.11.2024 00:17 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Here's a simple STL Viewer App for Meta Quest to see your 3D printable files in AR before you print them! You can download it NOW on at ebubar.itch.io/questl. Do you think this is useful? What features do YOU want in a tool like this? How could this help your workflows? #3dprinting #AR
13.11.2024 00:10 โ ๐ 4 ๐ 1 ๐ฌ 4 ๐ 0Lots of interesting stuff! Ive made and tested lots of 3d printed upper limbs (fingers, hands and arms). Most recently I've been diving into AR and VR which I think has huge potential to help people.
