Motherhood when stacked they cling to each other like lovers toe to heel, heel to toe. yet, like a sick kid my shoe cabinet keeps retching out shoes and likelihoods of everything I could have been shoes my kids have outgrown shoes that warp around their feet none of those belong to me.

This poem has tugged at me, nudged me to write it down.
