DNA testing for potential to develop health conditions is sinister.
It's an attempt to quantify the risk for individual patients. But health advice is the same whatever your risk so knowing risk is no use to doctors or patients.
One industry that relies on understanding risk though is insurance.

Over £10,000,000 of public money has been spent policing the proscription of Palestine Action.

The Labour Party has spent £700,000 defending the ban in court - and will spend more appealing the ruling that it’s unlawful.

That money could fund more than 3,500,000 free school meals.

Spend how much?

To defend the UK against the threat from a country that has failed to knock out Ukraine in over a decade.

The only credible threat from Russia is a nuclear one and it doesn't matter how much we spend, if that happens we're fucked.

Iceland, Lidl, M&S, Morrisons, Ocado, Sainsbury’s and Tesco have not.

Yet.

We do not want low-quality, poor-welfare meat flooding our supermarkets and undercutting our farmers.
