Only 4% of district hospitals and 27% of referral facilities in East, Central, and Southern Africa have functional C-arm X-ray machines (2022 study).
This leads to:
โ ๏ธ Delays in diagnosis & treatment
โ ๏ธ Higher complication rates
โ ๏ธ Limited access to procedures
โ ๏ธ Increased mortality & disability
Already several hundred learners registered.
It's really cool to read where everyone is joining from and what they'd like to learn about.
Come say hello in the discussion forum!
We are very proud to announce that #SURGhub has reached 10,000 registered learners.
In just 18 short months, we have achieved great impact on surgical training. And SURGhub is just getting started.
