Immigration attorney/advocate. Open borders. Abolish ICE. Defund the police. No political party will save you. A better world is possible. Excuse the typos. I’m angry.

This genuinely might be the most important “follow the money” story in the history of journalism, and I deeply worry that the industry is too depleted and waterlogged to stay on it with the ferocity it requires

“Lorth Sim, a Cambodian national, died in ICE custody on Monday, the seventh since the start of the year and nearly the 40th since Trump took office. ICE has not updated its website to reflect this latest detainee death as of the time of this writing.”

The current person in charge of ICE's procurement for detention is a GEO Group executive who ran the company's immigration detention portfolio. He was granted an "ethics waiver" from DHS allowing him to hand out contracts to GEO in his new role.

For ICE to build concentration camps quickly, they're leaning on this Dept. of War program WEXMAC TITUS helps contractors bypass the traditionally lengthy government contract bidding process

This is too important not to RP. We know 74% are not criminals.

"DHS is buying warehouses across the country to build out concentration camps for caging and deporting immigrants, and WEXMAC TITUS is allowing them to be operational in a matter of weeks."

"What must be done? We must abolish ICE and the entire DHS. We must proclaim a general amnesty to all undocumented immigrants currently residing in America. We must decriminalize unauthorized immigration. And we must enshrine freedom of movement in the constitution."

ICE is using a Navy war-fighting contract (WEXMAC TITUS) to turn warehouses into detention sites in the US.

They're using mil procurement to skip transparency & local safety laws.

Call your Reps and demand:

1. Why is ICE using WEXMAC TITUS?
2. Where is the oversight?
3. What are you going to do?

@hillaryclinton.bsky.social out here bragging about Bill and Barack's "humane" torture of families and children. Not only did Obama put children in detention camps, he BUILT the detention camps to put them in. When will these people f**k all the way off?

Hey Hillary! Do you know who opened Dilley? I think you do. It was Barack Obama. Yeah, the same guy who you said didn't put children in detention camps. He created the detention camps. You're right that no children should be behind bars. Where were you then?

Opinion | ICE’s warehouse detention centers run up against NIMBYism A surprising number of Republican communities are coming out against the idea of ICE deportation facilities in their backyards.

good piece by @hayesbrown.bsky.social

"It is for the best that Sen. Wicker came out against [the concentration camp in his state]. It doesn’t detract from the fact that Wicker cast his vote alongside his fellow Republicans to authorize and fund the construction of these sites in the first place."

In addition to their concerns about the conditions in which ICE detainees would be held, local leaders warned that an ICE warehouse in their town of about 30,000 residents could place a heavy burden on emergency services and tarnish the community’s public image while reducing property tax revenues.

for better or worse, this will probably be the most successful and compelling argument by communities against ICE concentration camps being built:

It appears that in planning for Operation Metro Surge, the government failed to
plan for the constitutional rights of its civil detainees. The government suggests — with minimal explanation and even less evidence — that doing so would result in "chaos." The Constitution does not permit the government to arrest thousands of individuals and then disregard their constitutional rights because it would be too challenging to honor those rights. 14
At this preliminary stage, Plaintiffs have made a clear showing of likelihood of
success on their Fifth Amendment claim.

So...let me get this straight...politicians and big-wigs in other countries who have been named in the Epstein files are being forced to step down or quit, yet the person who's named MOST is still in The White House and finding ways to create more terror? Make it make sense.

The El Paso airport borders Mexico-which Trump previously threatened to invade-and is used by ICE to run deportation flights

The airport is now closed, with the area designated as “national defense airspace”

Are we going to attack Mexico

Will we see mass deportation flights

This is very ominous

Not just the city. I'm in the suburbs, but it's real out here too. Teachers calming sobbing students who can't get a hold of their parents, students ready to go to war, parents arming themselves at work in case they need to go to their kid's school.

I'm not kidding. It's everywhere.
