Ah yes, leaving the state so the Texas Rangers can’t force the legislature to vote — a time-honored Texas tradition.

Exclusive: Google is indexing ChatGPT conversations, potentially exposing sensitive user data Thousands of shared ChatGPT chats are now appearing in Google search results.

Well this is bad. Google is indexing ChatGPT conversations exposing sensitive user data

I tried a few quick searches. I found someone's chat where I can see their api key

I found some building their resume. Their name, email and phone numbers are exposed.

Someone on here said that videogames offer a fantasy of predictable rewards for one's work, which in real life might not be rewarded at all. I think about it a lot!

No one is suggesting that the presence of history solves the current issues. But it might suggest that the understanding of the current issues is extremely shallow without the history that any attempt to ameliorate the worst impacts are doomed to fail without the history.

A profile shot of my 5yo son sitting in my lap in a green field. In one hand he has a lollipop, with the other he’s pointing off into the distance and I’m looking off in that direction.

A wide shot of use walking through a green field. We are holding hands, and he is looking down at a big. With my right arm I’m holding a half peck box of peaches.

45th birthday morning at the peach orchard. Despite all the chaos I came from, amid all the destruction in the world today, I somehow, through a lot of effort and even more luck, ended up with a peaceful and loving home life. It feels like a miracle, and I’m so grateful.

Deskilling is real.

This is the world generative AI peddlers long for, one where people are incompetent without their service.

Don't outsource your brain to this shit. You'll regret it.

Brown’s deal with the Trump administration throws trans folks and DEI work under the bus. It puts people in harms way in the name of keeping Jewish students safe.

I reject this from the bottom of my Jewish soul. There is no safety for me without safety for we. This isn’t justice.

Not in my name.

This is like the fourth summer in a row Dersh has feuded with some Martha’s Vineyard business that wants him to eff off but he still won’t take the hint.

He even talked to Chotiner about it in 2022!!!!

They never can. These grifts are always very carefully and vaguely worded to be *technically* accurate but designed to lead the reader to think something that is not at all true.

Without apparently doing the 15 minutes of googling I just did and going, "Ohhhhhh, this guy is full of shit, got it."

Also both the people hired study fish. This guy studied spiders -- though he is now grifting as an anti-trans "expert" -- maybe Cornell saw an opportunity for a collab with their research. This is all so stupid!

Both the people who got those two jobs have degrees equal to his from institutions equal to his, plus more published papers than he had.

And doesn't it often take years to find a tenure-track job, even if you're immensely qualified? He says he searched in 2019 and 2020, then left academia in 2020. But those two jobs at Cornell didn't get filled until 2022. It took awhile!

There were two jobs. One he applied for and didn't get, and one he found out about later. But he wasn't qualified for the second job, the one the Black person got, and not because of his race. It had specific duties he had no experience with.

Both jobs were filled by qualified candidates!

He's mad because he wanted a job he didn't get & found out later there was a 2nd job he didn't know about.

Not mentioned:

-He's an anti-trans grifter. He studied spiders.

-He wasn't qualified for the 2nd job the Black woman got.

-The first job was also filled, by a more qualified man!

Democrats are a party of corporate captured careerists who care more about staying in their jobs than they do helping anyone. They exist now only to say "we aren't as bad as them" and "we'll get back to the status quo" that was already killing people. They are broken and spent and cannot help us.
