So far, in less than one year, Donald Trump has issued over TEN TIMES as many pardons as he did in his entire four-year first term. That’s a lot of criminals released onto our streets.

This reminds me of Canada's elections, which saw the leader of the Opposition ousted in his own riding and needing a new seat to get back into Parliament. @mark-carney.bsky.social announced that he'd call a by-election as soon as a riding for his opponent was found, with the words, "No games."

When I was an ambassador, my driver kept a detailed travel log. Going to a function or meeting? "Official travel = Taxpayers cover. Being picked up at home to go to work, reading emails in back of car? "Personal travel" = taxable benefit. Go to a personal thing, like a movie? TAKE YOUR OWN CAR!!!
