Nice! As a followup reading, I'd suggest this preprint where invasive brain mapping led to target persolalization for DBS treatment of chronic pain. Best targets include thalamus, ACC, caudate - all 5 patients with a different configuration. www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1...

This approach highlights how invasive electrophysiology can help move DBS toward precision neurostimulation, grounded in patient-specific circuit dynamics rather than one-size-fits-all targets.

NIH cuts spotlight a hidden crisis facing patients with experimental brain implants People with experimental brain implants often turn to the treatment as a last resort, hoping to improve their health when everything else has failed.

Breakthroughs like brain stimulation for depression are built on public science funded by the NIH. If we slash that support, we stall life-saving progress.

#BethesdaDeclaration signatories spoke out about the risks we face from the attacks on #NIH. Support them here➡️zurl.co/MrSoz
