Also you can present at a public hospital and be seen by a dr at no cost… you may have to wait hours sometimes. If it’s an emergency or urgent situation you are prioritised in the system. Im glad to pay a little extra tax to help keep this system in place.

Here in Australia we have a public/universal healthcare system. It is not perfect but not too bad either. If you are doing it really tough financially you can request to be bulk billed and although it is at the dr’s discretion they will mostly do this, meaning you see the dr at no personal cost 1/2
