That reminds me, Xfinity is basically the only game in town in my area for internet, and while we don't have a cable TV subscription, they at least give Peacock as a free add-on to the internet service, so that's kind of neat.

I rarely utilize streaming services, maybe I should watch a thing or two. I just let my other family members have access to them. My parents end up just using Pluto TV and Tubi the most after I showed them how it works, they like what is basically cable TV navigation menus.

My phone plan should add HBO Max as a freebie so I can watch AEW regularly and nothing else since it seems like everything else WBD has is on every other service.

They just keep adding streaming services to my phone plan as free add-ons and it really dawned on me that there's just too many streaming services and also charging for them plus showing ads is like cool I love cable TV with extra fragmentation and steps.

Oh shit. I wonder if my ad blockers will keep ads from showing up on this like every other YouTube video, because I might end up watching this.

It did seem to lead to an uptick of more wireless mechanical keyboards and such, which was neat, but even without the wires, the other problem they couldn't really figure out was the ergonomic issues with trying to do a keyboard + mouse setup while you're sitting on the couch.

This reminds me of back when SteamOS, Steam Machines, and the dream of couch PC gaming was still alive. I really wanted that sort of lap based keyboard mouse desk thing to use on a couch. I don't think any of the major peripheral manufacturers really nailed a design that worked well.

Also only a couple of folks that would otherwise not orbit the types of circles I think we mingle with on the regular. I got some blowback but I didn't get it as bad as some other friends and mutuals who, let's say, got it way worse because of, well, who they are, lets just say.

Just the sort of folks that are like "not everything is political" and etc etc, you know, that sort of "centrist" talking point.

It has been a long time since I last saw House Party (the original, not the remake or whatever) so I wonder how well that movie holds up to my nostalgia.
