Will post pics when I’m further along, but I’ve done more work on the Norn and one of the Tyrannofex, and then primed the rest of the Tyranids I intend to paint (sorry 40 last termagants of my 120, you will remain on sprues for now).

Mostly painted Tyranid Norn Emissary, in sub-assembly, with limbs, torso, head, and tail separate.

Made a ton of progress on my Norn Emissary, I can’t wait to see this completed!

Made some progress on one of my Tyrannofex, looking forward to doing more tomorrow. It’s been nice to be productive again.

Such a dreary, rainy day outside, and it looks like a high possibility of rain for the next week. Glad I got my priming done when I did. Gonna finish my morning coffees, and tackle some big bugs!

Got a norm emissary and one of my two tyrannofex in sub-assembly ready to prime. While the weather has been nice I’ve been trying to get a few more minis sub-assembled so I can prime a bunch at once, and then I can get back to painting while binging shows.

First playthrough of Silent Hill F done, that was fantastic. Looking forward to a subsequent one for additional documents and context, as I’ve read NG+ changes some things that aren’t available in the first playthrough.

I love the silly lil guys 40k has, I don’t think all factions need lil gremlins but I appreciate the grots and nurglings out there doing the work.

Ordinarily in October I try and watch a horror movie a day, but I think I’m gonna call it good if I play some horror games instead.

I cannot stress enough how much Silent Hill F rules. I’m like eight hours in and I’m loving it so much. What a banger year for gaming.

One of my favorites in the series, and one of the few I’ve beat multiple times. Excellent game, great cast, fun battle system, it’s all so good.

Somewhere I’ve got those and Casshan, Demon City Shinjuku and a bunch of others on VHS back at my parents, as I’d taped them along with MST3K on the SciFi Channel. Great times for younger me without much other access to anime.

The DM is slightly older than I am, and started with the prior edition, and the maps are ones that he drew decades ago. The whole thing has been a fun blast from the past, and I’d definitely have bought more books back then if I’d known I’d still be using them 30 years later!

I’ve been playing in a 2nd edition campaign for the past 3 years (it was also the first system I’d played, back in middle school), and the first dungeon we went into was similar to this and across many, many floors. Took our party multiple months to go through, and we didn’t even fully explore it.

Looks great, and the face even more so! I really need to buckle down and learn to paint faces, as not everything comes with helmets 😭

But given the general stress that is everything in 2025 I’m glad to be working on a creative outlet again! Also gave a friend the extra Judiciar I’d had from the 2nd DoW: Onslaught box, to kitbash into something wonderfully wretched for his Death Guard army, which I hope to see at a table some day!

Anyhow I worked on a couple that I’d primed last week, and the purple contrast paint closely matched the layer paint I’d used with my earlier marines, and so my army won’t by mismatched. Which is a relief, as I really enjoyed using the contrast paint over the zenithal priming method!

Took the advice of a friend and downloaded the citadel paint app to actually inventory what I had instead of relying on my memory. There was only one I’d had an unintentional repeat of though, so that’s pretty good for me.

15 Warhammer 40K space marine miniatures: 6 bladeguard veterans, 6 eradicators, a bladeguard ancient, a chaplain, and a judiciar, primed in black with a lighter spray on top of that in a zenithal style.

Gave zenithal priming a go for the first time, with some minis from the Dawn of War: Onslaught box. Looking forward to painting them for my custom chapter!
