Also, me and him had a civil discussion about it and came to the agreement that both sucked in their own way, and reflected massive negative consequences for the country as a whole. Is he a bad guy for his original statement! No, but even I’ll admit his direction on it was misguided.

See, I actually remember when Mat commented on how J6 stacks up against 9/11, and I told him directly I didn’t agree w/ the comparison. I get where his stance came from, I’m just not sure it’s fair to measure them side by side since the scale of 1 drastically overshadows the other.

Full disclosure, I went into Puss in Boots: The Last Wish under the same mentality. I knew it was probably good, I just figured it wouldn’t knock my socks off. And then I saw ppl saying it was even better than Spider-verse…OK, I’ll believe when I see it.
So I saw it…and believed it, like WOW!

Oh Rescuers 2 is absolutely worth a rewatch. I wrote it off as OK a while back since I barely watched it growing up, but holy shit is it a spectacle!
If you’re skeptical, then I still recommend it, but keep your lowered expectations and see whether the film surpasses them or not.

I’m actually listening to this live and the reveal for who…Elphaba’s real dad, and by extension a certain OTHER character in the film is (won’t reveal for all…5 of you who don’t know) is the funniest God damn thing it could’ve been!

Hmm…OK, not to diss live action since you CAN make that work, the 101 Dalmatians films (both Glenn Close and Emma Stone as Cruella) were solid; but how about just…a same medium remake. You could remake it with just slight story/pacing changes and not other medium transfers.

For the record, there is no acceptable limit of how many times white/non-black ppl can say the n-word, it shouldn’t happen at all. But there is footage that shows Gina Marie and Kaitlin doing it outloud.
Oh, and that’s not even the only slur used. Those beginning with f-, k-, and r- also were used.
