Exactly this. 'Lifelong' Labour supporters need to realise the party they voted for isn't Labour anymore. The change they hoped for will only be possible with a new party and at this time, the Greens are it.

I wish I could go back to the days where I wasn't engaged or interested in politics. Ignorance was bliss. Now I'm just so angry all the time because of things I'm aware of but cannot control.

I'm frightened about where things are headed. It's absolutely insane that governments are pushing for stuff like this, blinded to the consequences.

I feel like the way things are going, we're going to need to start remembering how to share ideas, find and support each other, and mobilise action the way we used to before mobile phones and computers, before they become outright surveillance tools. We are about to step into very dystopian times.

I think we need to start planning now how we live in a closed internet. Or around a closed internet. There has to be ways we can communicate in this upcoming hostile environment.

The more I see about the online safety act and digital IDs wielded by our increasingly right wing/authoritarian government, the more I'm worried about us losing out ability to communicate authentically, about losing our support groups, about our world view being manipulated through the few corps...

I saw Edgar Wright's The Running Man last night and I may be a bit biased as a fangirl, but I really enjoyed it. But I fear it's a future coming true right now, with corporations running the world using video and media manipulation, and the poor being pitted against the poor as a distraction.

I don't understand why people spend all that money to visit with the big gamble of being rejected because of something you posted online they happen to disagree with. Never mind the chance of being locked up by ICE at random. More money than sense!

There's absolutely no way I'm uploading ID or a face scan for ages verification to any site. But are there any downsides, privacy issues or risks when verifying using a payment card that are any different from other sites that already handle payment cards?
